U.S. President Donald Trump met on Wednesday in Riyadh with Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for about 45 minutes to discuss the latest developments in Syria and the potential lifting of economic sanctions.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan joined the session remotely, participating in discussions on regional stability and the economic measures affecting Syria. President Trump reiterated his administration’s commitment to establishing peace in Syria and announced plans to normalize U.S.–Syrian relations, including the future removal of all sanctions against Damascus.
