Erbil – Iraq’s Sabah newspaper reported that citizens in the Kurdistan Region have expressed concern over the newly launched lighting project due to a sharp rise in electricity prices. While the current rate stands at 80 dinars per kilowatt, it is expected to increase to 150 dinars, leading many to say they cannot afford proper usage under the new system.
