The head of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Corruption Commission says corruption cases in the region have not decreased compared to last year, with new cases being reported every week.
"We receive new corruption cases every week,” Ahmad Anwar, head of the KRG Corruption Commission, told NRT on Tuesday. He added that despite government promises, the number of cases has not gone down compared to the previous year.
Meanwhile, the head of the Kurdistan Regional Prosecutor’s Office said the law is not being implemented properly in the Kurdistan Region, further hindering efforts to combat corruption.
