Residents of Penjwen reported Saturday, August 30, 2025, that a fire that reignited in the area has spread to surrounding villages and is now out of control. They said that, despite the growing danger, forest police have not arrived to help extinguish the fire, leaving only volunteers to battle the flames.
According to local sources, two individuals who were attempting to put out the fire sustained serious burns and were taken to the emergency hospital for treatment.
