The Iraqi Weather Forecast Department has reported that temperatures have soared above 50 degrees Celsius in parts of the country, particularly in the southern provinces of Basra, Maysan, Diwaniya, and Nasiriyah.
The Kurdistan Regional Meteorological Agency (KRG) stated on Monday that skies across the region will remain cloudy and partly cloudy at times, with temperatures close to current records.
Extreme heat continues across the country, with forecasted highs as follows:
