Iraq to Receive 400,000 Tons of Wheat from Kurdistan Farmers

The Iraqi government has agreed to receive 400,000 tons of wheat from farmers in the Kurdistan Region this year, according to Director of Commerce Nawzad Kamil. He stated that rain-fed wheat will be purchased at 800,000 dinars per ton, while irrigated wheat will be bought at 850,000 dinars per ton.

Kamil also noted that over 300,000 tons of wheat are currently stored in silos, assuring that there will be no shortages of wheat or flour this year or the next.
