The Iraqi Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) announced plans to test voting machines at 1,079 polling stations across the country as part of its preparations for the upcoming parliamentary elections.
Emad Jamil, head of the commission’s media team, told Sabah newspaper on Monday that the tests aim to ensure the full functionality and readiness of voting equipment and electronic systems. The trials will be conducted by registration center staff and repeated several times, culminating in a final phase to inspect the data transfer center to verify the speed and security of transmitting election results.
