The Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) Anti-Terror Unit reported that a drone bomb crashed at 5:50 a.m. on Monday in the Razgari district of Khabat, located in Erbil province. The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) confirmed the incident and stated that no casualties were reported.
Additional drone crashes were reported the same morning. An NRT correspondent noted that a drone went down near the village of Kawrasur shortly after 5 a.m., and another crashed in Hiaway village in the Hawija area.
These drone incidents are part of a wider pattern of aerial threats in the region. Previous drone bombs have targeted critical infrastructure, including the DNO-operated oil fields in Tawke and Pishkhapur in the Zakho area, as well as the Hunt Oil site in Ba'adre, Duhok province.
The incidents have raised concerns about regional security, particularly regarding the safety of oil installations in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
