SULAIMANI — At least one Peshmerga was killed in an attack by Islamic State (ISIS) group militants in Kifri in Diyala governorate on Monday (November 29), Aman Sartip, the manager of Shahid Khalid Garmiani hospital told NRT.

Sartip said three other Peshmerga were wounded in the attack.

A peshmerga member who was in the attack named Khasraw Qadir told NRT, "The ISIS militants attacked from motorcycles at first and then started shooting at us from a distance with sniper rifles.”

"The attack happened because of the security gap between the Peshmerga forces and the Iraqi forces in the area,” he said.
