SULAIMANI — At least one Peshmerga was killed in an attack
by Islamic State (ISIS) group militants in Kifri in Diyala governorate on
Monday (November 29), Aman Sartip, the manager of Shahid Khalid Garmiani
hospital told NRT.
Sartip said three other Peshmerga were wounded in the
attack.
A peshmerga member who was in the attack named Khasraw Qadir
told NRT, "The ISIS militants attacked from motorcycles at first and then started
shooting at us from a distance with sniper rifles.”
"The attack happened because of the security gap between the
Peshmerga forces and the Iraqi forces in the area,” he said.
