The first Kurdish child was born in Saudi Arabia during the 2025 Hajj season, according to the head of the Soran Hajj and Umrah office.
Yousef Chomani told NRT on Thursday that the mother, who is from the Khalifan area of Soran, gave birth in a hospital in Medina.
The newborn, named Mohammed, is in good health along with his mother.
Chomani confirmed that they had visited the mother and are providing her with all necessary services, including support for obtaining a temporary passport, which may take several days.
