Mazlum Abdi, commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), said on Sunday that next year will be the year of Kurdish national unity and confederation among Kurds living across four countries in the region.
"It is said that the end of this year will be the end of the Kurds and the SDF, but the reality is completely different. This is the beginning of a major project,” Abdi said.
Responding to pressure from Syria and Turkey to implement the March 10 agreement between Damascus and the SDF, Abdi stressed that the coming year will witness unity among Kurds in all four parts and the strengthening of national cooperation and coordination.
