The Ministry of Finance and Economy of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) announced on Tuesday that it has transferred 120 billion dinars in non-oil revenues for May 2025 to the Federal Ministry of Finance.
According to the statement, the amount was deposited in cash into the federal ministry’s account at the Erbil branch of the Central Bank of Iraq. This step comes as part of the agreement between the Kurdistan Region and Baghdad, which obliges the KRG to transfer 120 billion dinars in monthly non-oil revenues and deliver 230,000 barrels of oil per day in exchange for the release of salary payments.
A senior source in the federal government told new generation movement that Baghdad will proceed with sending the salaries for May following this transfer.
