SULAIMANI — A number of rockets were fired at a Turkish
military base in Zelkan district in Nineveh governorate on Sunday (November 7),
Director of Zelkan district Muhammed Sharif told NRT.
Sharif said that "no one is hurt outside the base.”
"But we don’t know if anyone is hurt inside, as the Turkish
soldiers do not let anyone get close to the base,” he added.
The military base is located at the foot of Mount Maqlub.
The incident comes the evening after Iraqi Prime Minister
Mustafa al-Kadhimi survived an assassination attempt in Baghdad.
