The Iraqi Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs has announced that it will provide large, interest-free loans to citizens who wish to become entrepreneurs in the new year. "The amount of the loan is substantial, and no interest will be added," the ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.
The loan package, set to launch in 2026, will first be available to those already registered on the ministry's platform.
Loans are divided into three categories: 20 million dinars, 30 million dinars, and 50 million dinars. A key condition for receiving a loan is that the applicant must employ at least two workers in the project financed by the loan, according to the ministry.
