Iran has not yet set a specific date for the resumption of gas exports to Iraq, but supplies are expected to resume within a week, a source at the Iraqi Ministry of Electricity said on Thursday.
The source explained that Iranian gas exports were suspended due to an emergency situation, leading to a shortage of approximately 4,500 megawatts of electricity in Iraq.
Meanwhile, Iraqi authorities continue efforts to secure alternative energy sources and mitigate the impact of the power shortfall until gas exports resume.
