The Kurdistan Regional Meteorological Agency (KRG) announced that the highest amount of snowfall recorded in the past 24 hours was in Mount Safin and Mount Korak, reaching three centimeters.
The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) General Directorate of Meteorology and Seismology (GDMS) released the latest statistics on Sunday, December 14, 2025. According to the data, snowfall in the Kele border area reached one centimeter.
The directorate added that snow also fell in some high mountainous areas of Duhok and several border mountainous regions, but these amounts were not officially recorded.
