Rahel Faraidoon, Deputy Minister of Health of the Kurdistan Regional Government, said that medical supplies in hospitals in Chamchamal have decreased due to cash shortages.
Speaking at a press conference today, Faraidoon said that with the assistance of several pharmaceutical companies, medical supplies will be provided to Chamchamal. These include antibiotics, operating room equipment, anesthetics, and bandages.
He stressed that this support represents only the first phase of assistance. A second phase of aid is expected to arrive tomorrow and will include additional supplies aimed at preventing the spread of diseases following the recent floods.
