On Thursday, December 11, 2025, the General Directorate of Health in Sulaimanyah announced that 1,733 patients visited the Digestive and Liver Hospital last month. Of these, 235 patients were admitted for treatment, including 15 cases related to viral hepatitis.
According to the statement, the hospital performed 45 digestive and liver surgeries last month, along with 238 stomach endoscopies, 200 colon endoscopies, 45 bile and pancreas procedures, and nine endoscopic ultrasounds.
During the same period, the medical team conducted 85 ultrasound examinations, 25 percutaneous liver and bile procedures, 61 X-rays, 57 additional ultrasound scans, and blood tests for 596 patients.
