The Kurdistan Regional Meteorological Agency said Thursday, December 11, 2025, that rainfall will continue today and tomorrow across much of the Kurdistan Region, while snowfall is expected in the mountainous areas.
According to the agency, temperatures will drop by one to two degrees Celsius, and snow is forecast to fall in the high areas of Soran. The agency also reported that the highest rainfall during the past hours was recorded in Takya Jabari in Kirkuk.
The weather forecast indicates that rain will begin in the western border areas and the northern mountainous zones. Snowfall is expected in higher elevations, while the impact of this weather wave will continue through Saturday in Sulaimanyah and Halabja.
Meanwhile, rainfall amounts recorded were 12.5 mm in Sulaimanyah, 17 mm in Darbandikhan, 17.6 mm in Halabja, and 20 mm in Batufa in Duhok.
