The Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources (MoAWR) announced that more than 100 million cubic meters of water have been stored in the Dukan and Darbandikhan dams over the past two days.

According to the ministry, the water level of the Darbandikhan Dam has increased by 1.5 meters, while the Dukan Dam rose by 70 centimeters.

The ministry added that water levels in dams in Duhok have also increased, though at a slower rate. Officials expect the ongoing wave of rainfall to continue raising water levels in the region’s large dams in the coming days.
