The new generation movement has called on Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Sudani to immediately compensate the victims of the floods that struck Chamchamal on Tuesday.
In an official letter sent to the Iraqi Council of Ministers on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, the movement urged Sudani to provide urgent support to those affected by the sudden flooding so that families can return to their normal lives as soon as possible.
The movement stated that the people of Chamchamal are facing a difficult and overwhelming situation, expressing hope that the federal government will stand with them during this crisis.
They added that they expect the government to issue immediate instructions to relevant authorities to launch emergency support programs and allocate funds to compensate families whose homes and belongings were damaged.
The movement also called on the Kurdish public to stand in solidarity with the affected families during this humanitarian emergency.
