Weather forecasts show that rainfall will continue tomorrow across the Kurdistan Region, while a new wave of snowfall is expected to affect the region from the middle of this month.
The Kurdistan Regional Meteorological Agency said Wednesday that the current rainfall wave will continue today and tomorrow. Rainfall measurements from 9 am to 9 pm recorded more than 80 mm in Chamchamal and Darbandikhan, and 12.4 mm in Halabja.
The agency added that after the 15th of this month, a cold Arctic air mass is expected to move into the region, causing temperatures to drop below zero. This will bring a wave of rain and snow across the Kurdistan Region, with heavy snowfall expected in mountainous areas.
