One of the individuals injured in the clashes in Lajan village has died after more than six days in the hospital, an NRT reporter said. The victim was identified as 21-year-old Arman Sanar, a resident of Soran and a member of the Harki tribe.
Late last month, residents of Lajan village protested due to lack of job opportunities, and KDP forces reportedly responded with gunfire. The incident caused rising tensions, leaving 12 people injured and two others killed, after which the KDP forces evacuated the village.
