The Coordination Framework held a meeting last night at the home of Nouri al-Maliki to discuss the selection of a new prime minister but did not reach any decisive decision. After the meeting, the Framework stated that it remains committed to fulfilling national duties within the constitutional deadlines.

On Tuesday, December 2, 2025, the Coordination Framework reiterated that it is committed to ensuring an orderly and stable transfer of power in cooperation with political partners.

Iraqi media reported that the parties within the Coordination Framework have not yet agreed on a candidate for the post of prime minister. The number of nominees has reportedly risen to 30, while a special committee has been formed to review the list and reduce it to a single candidate.
