A traffic source in Sulaimanyah told NRT that new speed cameras have been installed at Aram Intersection on Malik Mahmoud Ring Road.
According to the Sulaimanyah Traffic Directorate, the cameras were placed in the lower part of the intersection to monitor both sides of traffic, aiming to reduce speeding and decrease traffic accidents.
The system will be in a two-week testing phase before drivers are formally notified. The cameras will record violations for speeds exceeding 65 kilometers per hour, and warning signs will be installed to alert motorists.
