Oman has lifted visa requirements for Iraqi citizens holding diplomatic, private, and service passports, following a royal decree issued by Sultan Haitham bin Tariq on Thursday. The decree approves the joint visa-exemption agreement between Oman and Iraq.
According to the document, signed on September 3, 2025, the decision comes after reviewing the constitution and the agreement reached between both governments to facilitate travel for official passport holders. The exemption will come into effect once it is published in the official gazette, based on considerations of public interest.
