Sulaimanyah weather forecast for NRT: Rainfall amounts have decreased this year

The amount of rainfall recorded this year has decreased, reaching a total of 36.6 mm compared to last year, according to the Kurdistan Regional Meteorological Directorate. Erbil province recorded the highest levels of rainfall.

The Sulaimanyah Meteorological Directorate told NRT on Sunday that rainfall in the past 24 hours reached 36.6 mm this year, while it was 92.2 mm during the same period last year. The total rainfall recorded in Sulaimanyah province was 24.4 mm.

The highest rainfall in the past 24 hours was recorded in Nazanin, Erbil province, with 35.5 mm. In Sulaimanyah province, Takya received 31.6 mm, while Duhok center recorded only 7 mm and Kirkuk 9.8 mm.

According to statistics sent to NRT by the Raparin Agriculture Directorate, the highest rainfall in the region was recorded in Sarwchawa with 64.1 mm, while Qaladze recorded the lowest amount with 3.5 mm.
The Halabja Meteorological Department reported that Sirwan and Halabja each recorded 39.4 mm, the highest levels in the province.
