thousands of military pensioners remained unpaid even though the outgoing government announced last week that it would distribute an additional salary before the elections. However, the decision has not yet been implemented.
The government previously stated that the payments would include all retired Peshmerga members, officers, and ranks who have not received any salary since January this year.
