The Federal Court of Iraq (FCI) has postponed its hearing on the suspension of salaries for employees of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) until July 28, 2025.
The case concerns the decision by Iraqi Finance Minister Taif Sami to halt salary disbursements to KRG employees. Although the court was initially scheduled to review the matter today, the session was adjourned without providing a detailed explanation.
The issue of unpaid salaries remains a key point of contention between Baghdad and Erbil, with KRG employees now facing over two months of delayed payments.
