The Erbil Passport Directorate announced the activation of an electronic queuing system for passport issuance across all four passport offices in the province, including Erbil 1st and 2nd offices, as well as Soran and Koya offices.
Citizens can now book appointments for the upcoming week through the "Iraqi Passport” app, available on both Android and iOS platforms, or through the official website. The system allows individuals to schedule appointments for themselves and family members. Upon booking, users must save the barcode that appears, which is required on the day of the visit.
Applicants must possess a valid MasterCard or Visa card in their name with a balance in Iraqi dinars to pay the passport issuance fee of 91,000 IQD. In addition, citizens must present their original national ID card, and those renewing a passport must bring their old passport.
The directorate also emphasized that:

Evening-shift applicants must arrive two hours before their scheduled time.

For children under 18, the presence of the father is required during both the processing and pickup stages.
