The Iraqi Ministry of Transportation announced that the first group of pilgrims is scheduled to depart today from Taif Airport in Saudi Arabia, heading to Baghdad.
In a statement, the Ministry confirmed that between two and six flights will be operated daily from various Saudi airports to Iraqi destinations to facilitate the return of all pilgrims. The repatriation process is expected to conclude by the 24th of this month.
The Ministry added that the return flights will be carried out using advanced Boeing 777 Dreamliner aircraft to ensure comfort and safety for the pilgrims.
