A group of farmers in the villages surrounding Duzkhurmatu gathered on Tuesday to protest the arrival of what they described as "imported Arabs,” accusing them of attempting to seize agricultural land that has long belonged to local residents.
The farmers claimed that nearly 2,000 dunams of their own land and around 150,000 dunams in the broader area have already been taken over. They expressed frustration over the lack of support from relevant authorities and warned that they are not prepared to surrender their property.
"No one has helped us. We will not allow our land to be taken,” one farmer told NRT.
The dispute is part of ongoing tensions in disputed areas where demographic changes and land ownership remain highly sensitive issues.
