SULAIMANI— An Iraqi
Army helicopter has crash-landed near Al-Jalsiya in Saladin province due to an
engine fault, Iraq’s Ministry of Defence has said.
The ministry said two
officers have been wounded in the crash; they have been transferred to Samarra
hospital to receive treatment.
According to NRT
figures, 41 people have died in plane crashes in Iraq since 2000.
Today’s crash
coincides with the 19th anniversary of an aircraft crash involving three
