SULAIMANI — The Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) Ministry of Health announced on Thursday (February 24) it officially recorded 552 new cases of coronavirus infection over the past 24 hours.

There were 245 new cases in Duhok governorate, 167 in Erbil, 119 in Sulaimani, fifteen in Halabja, three in Garmian administration, and three in Raparin administration.

On July 26, the Region recorded its highest single-day total with 3,559 infections. The ministry also said four patients had died from the disease, while 1,145 others recovered.
