SULAIMANI — As high gas prices continue to weigh heavily on
drivers, the Kurdistan Region Government’s (KRG) Department of Media and
Information said on Tuesday (November 2) that the Ministry of Natural Resources
will designate three locations to sell subsidized fuel for public buses at a
price set by the ministry.
The decision comes after the New Generation Movement began
to sell gasoline for 500 Iraqi dinars ($0.34) to drivers on Sunday.
According to the KRG statement, the subsidized gasoline will
be sold at Yasamin Station in Erbil, Chia Station in Duhok, and Halabja Group
Station in Sulaimani.
