The Kurdistan Regional Meteorological Agency announced that another wave of snowfall is expected to affect parts of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq starting Wednesday.
According to the Kurdistan Regional Meteorological Directorate, the weather will be generally cloudy and cold, with partly cloudy conditions in mountainous areas. Snowfall of between 5 and 10 centimeters is forecast for Duhok, Zakho, Mergasur, Amedi, Soran, Raparen, and the Safin Mountains in Erbil province.
The forecast also indicates a chance of mixed rain in several areas, while temperatures are expected to rise slightly in some regions and drop in areas affected by the snow wave.
