The Iraqi High Electoral Commission (HEC) announced that 470 candidates have been expelled from the upcoming parliamentary elections. HEC member Hassan Qabas explained that under the law, political parties have three days to replace disqualified candidates, while those expelled retain the right to appeal the decision.
