Iranian officials have declared that the United States must compensate Iran for recent losses before any nuclear negotiations can resume.
On Thursday, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that Tehran will not return to the negotiation table unless Washington addresses the damages caused by sanctions over the past six months. He also emphasized that Iran will not halt uranium enrichment as a precondition for talks.
Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to continuing its nuclear program, asserting that Iran still has the capacity to enrich uranium. His statement came after the United States announced new sanctions against over 115 individuals, organizations, and ships, including a close adviser to Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
