SULAIMANI — Armed Islamic State (ISIS) militants bombed the
home of the headman of a village in Kirkuk province on Saturday (August 14) and
kidnapped a teenage boy, a security source said.
The 13-year-old son of the school principal in the village
of Simudi in Daquq district in the south of Kirkuk province was kidnapped, a
security source told Kirkuk Now.
The same night, a blast struck the home of Hassan Abdullah,
the headman of the village, according to Kirkuk Now. A security source told the
news agency five ISIS militants wearing military uniforms were seen in the
village.
The militants have escaped and security forces have been
deployed to the area.
