SULAIMANI — PUK-linked Kurdistan special counter terrorism group said
on Wednesday (June 22) that no one was killed in a Katyusha rocket attack on
Dana Gas's Khor Mor gas field in Chamchamal district, Sulaimani province today.
Earlier, a source in the Dana Gas company told NRT that a
few people were wounded in the attack.
The group said in a statement that it is not clear
where the missile was fired from as investigations are ongoing.
It added that the incident took place around 1645 (local
time).
Dana Gas has not yet issued any official statement on the
incident at the time of publishing this report.
Reuters news agency said in a report that the attack had no
impact on the company's operations in the field.
Khor Mor is one of the largest gas fields in Iraq, operated
by Dana Gas and Crescent Petroleum.
