Following the Iraqi parliamentary elections, Bangin Rekani, Iraq’s Minister of Reconstruction representing the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), said that no specific date has been determined for the transfer of September salaries to the Kurdistan Region.
Speaking to his party’s media on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, Rekani said that while some salary-related problems persist, efforts are underway to resolve them.
He added that the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) had reached a three-month agreement with Baghdad prior to the elections to regulate salary payments, but the arrangement has not yet resulted in a confirmed payment date.
