According to information obtained by NRT, the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) concluded its two-hour meeting in Erbil today without reaching a decision on the distribution of salaries to public employees and workers in the region.
The meeting, which focused on three key issues, prioritized the ongoing salary crisis. However, no concrete resolution was made regarding the timing or mechanism of salary payments.
Government officials stated that if necessary, constitutional measures will be taken after the Eid holidays to address the issue.
Despite reportedly having over 22 trillion dinars in oil and non-oil revenues, the government has yet to allocate any portion of these funds toward salary distribution, raising frustration among public sector employees.
