SULAIMANI — The Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) Ministry of Health announced on Monday (January 17) it officially recorded 1,336 new cases of coronavirus infection over the past 24 hours.

There were 660 new cases in Erbil governorate, 287 in Duhok, 242 in Sulaimani, and 31 in Garmian administration, eight in Halabja, and seven in Raparin.

On July 26, the Region recorded its highest single-day total with 3,559 infections.
