Relatives discover missing boy among survivors of migrant shipwreck

SULAIMANI — An 11-year-old boy who was among a group of migrants who went missing when their boat sank in the Aegean Sea, has been found and is now in a hospital in Greece.

The boy’s relatives told NRT his name is Renwar Rebwar and he is from Koya. His family members in the Kurdistan Region also said his parents and two younger brothers are still missing.

An inflatable dingy sank in the Aegean on Tuesday near the Greek island of Folegandros, 180km southeast of Athens. The majority of its passengers are believed to have been Kurds and more than 50 people are still missing.
