SULAIMANI — Iraq’s Foreign Ministry announced on Friday (December 17) the arrival of the tenth flight returning Iraqi migrants from Belarus.

Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed al-Sahaf said 400 migrants returned on the flight.

The Ministry of Transport and Communications of Iraq said the number of Iraqi migrants repatriated from the Belarus-Poland border has reached 3,139.

The first group returned from Minsk on November 18.

Migrants say there are still more than 2,000 remaining at the border who are suffering from the cold and lack of services. The European Union has not permitted the flow of migration from Belarus.
