311 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Kurdistan Region: ministry

SULAIMANI — The Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) Ministry of Health announced on Tuesday (November 30) it officially recorded 311 new cases of coronavirus infection over the past 24 hours.

There were 130 new cases in Duhok governorate, 129 in Erbil, 50 in Sulaimani, and two in Halabja.

On July 26, the Region recorded its highest single-day total with 3,559 infections.

The ministry also said ten patients had died from the disease, while 488 others recovered.

According to the health ministry, there have been 375,410 officially-recorded cases of coronavirus infection in the Kurdistan Region. An official tally of 362,989 patients have recovered from COVID-19 and 6,857 have died from it.

The numbers are almost certainly an undercount.
