Peshmerga ministry vows revenge for fighters killed in recent ISIS attacks

SULAIMANI — The Kurdistan Regional Government's (KRG) Ministry of Peshmerga said on Tuesday (November 30) the lives of the two Peshmerga killed on Monday will be avenged.

Minister of Peshmerga Affairs Shoresh Ismail said the ministry has met with all commanders and deputy commanders from the Peshmerga infantry brigades and told them to strongly resist Islamic State (ISIS) militants.

"The martyrs of the past few days should be avenged and we will not stop until we completely break ISIS," he said.

ISIS militants have attacked Peshmerga on the borders of areas between the control of federal Iraqi and Kurdish forces twice in the past two weeks. The most recent attack was on Monday,
