Iraqi ministry says over 600 migrants registered to return from Belarus

SULAIMANI — Iraqi Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ahmed Sahaf said on Thursday (November 25) 617 Iraqi migrants stranded on the Belarus-Poland border have registered to return home.

Sahaf said the work will be carried out in cooperation with Iraqi Airlines and the flights will depart from from Minsk International Airport.

"Voluntary return is a completely humane act and a diplomatic [one],” Sahaf added.

He has not yet announced the date of departure.
