SULAIMANI — The Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) Ministry of Health announced on Saturday (October 23) it officially recorded 560 new cases of coronavirus infection over the past 24 hours.

There were 223 new cases in Duhok governorate, 181 in Erbil, 75 in the Raparin administration, 68 in Sulaimani, and thirteen in Halabja.

On July 26, the Region recorded its highest single-day total with 3,559 infections.

The ministry also said 28 patients had died from the disease, while 1,211 others recovered.

According to the health ministry, there have been 355,541 officially-recorded cases of coronavirus infection in the Kurdistan Region. An official tally of 333,257 patients have recovered from COVID-19 and 6,265 have died from it.
