Heating oil shipment from Baghdad due to arrive in Sulaimani

SULAIMANI — Sulaimani Oil and Minerals Directorate said on Thursday (October 21) that a shipment of heating oil sent by Baghdad to the Kurdistan Region will be distributed to locations in the governorate starting on Sunday.

The directorate said in a statement that the process will begin in Penjwen district, followed by Tawella, Biara, Khurmal, Shabazher, Mawat, and Qaladze.

There will be two further shipments of fuel, which will focus on small towns and the larger cities.

It said that subsidized barrels of heating oil will be sold to residents for 55,000 Iraqi dinars ($37.60).
